The happiest and saddest day of each Northbrook Year is graduation day. This day is so difficult because we are so insanely proud of all our graduates and happy that they are ready for higher learning and yet VERY sad to have to let them go. Northbrook is a community in which students, siblings, parents, and extended family are all welcome and involved. This amazing support system is one tool that helps Northbrook students to try many new things and therefore develop a great deal of self-confidence that serves them well as alumni. Our alumni report that their Northbrook years were some of the best times of their lives. Who says the middle school and high school years have to be awful? For many Northbrook students the only "awful" part is that they pass so awfully quickly!
Because we educate the whole person (in mind, body and spirit) it is hard to pinpoint in alumni what part of their Northbrook Experiences was most valuable. Some claim it was the study skills and the rigorous academics that set them up for advance level course work. Others detail the discovery of a passion for theater or music that they will carry with them for life. Still others found they liked running or swimming and look forward to pursuing these sports more competitively.
