Athletics- Competitive Teams |
Northbrook Academy has competitive teams in Cross Country and Basketball. The boys and girls cross country teams compete in the Taunton Middle School League. The league is broken into 5th and 6th grade runners who run a 1.7 mile course and a 7th and 8th grade group who run a 2.1 mile course. The Cross Country team uses Raynham's Borden Field as their home course for all home meets. The 2008-09 girls team went undefeated and finished in first place in the Taunton Middle School league. The boys and girls basketball team (CO-ED) participates in the Christian Athletic Association League. This league of local, small private schools is for players in grades 6, 7 and 8. In 2009-10 the Northbrook basketball team won the championship. The 2008-09 team finished the year with a 3 and 6 season putting them in 3rd place. The Northbrook basketball team also won best sportsmanship award in both 2007-08 and 2006-07.
